Hello, welcome to this blog! I'm glad that you clicked the link!
So, you may by wondering what you've come across on this small corner of the internet. You’ve come across a repository of the thoughts of Hadrian Archo.
Who is Hadrian Archo?
Hadrian Archo is the pen name and alter ego of a biomedical
researcher in the United States. This biomedical researcher is an oddball in his
field by most accounts, he came from humble origins of Spanish speaking parents
and worked in construction for his dad when he was growing up. He later
attended a top 25 university in the US after working his way through community
college as a pizza boy and security guard, and now works at a prestigious research
institution.
Unlike many biomedical scientists, he pursued biomedical research by following his nose rather than following his heart, but that’s not the only thing that makes him stick out in a lab setting. What most people will say about the man behind Hadrian Archo is his willingness to read about nearly every topic underneath the sun outside of science, and his integration of the random things he learns about into his daily conversations, life, and scientific work.
What can I expect from this blog?
Currently, I have been journaling my thoughts, observations,
and musings on life on a weekly basis since 2016. Many of the “first generation”
posts will contain pieces, excerpts, or complete personal writings that I have
written over the years. I currently have a series of white papers that I have
written over the years that I have been meaning to put online for some time
that cover topics such as basic stock advice, time management, favorite places on
the internet, ideas on educational strategies, and more. These writings vary
between a casual tone derived from the fact that many where emails to friends
before they were collated, and others are more academic in tone as they were
attempts to formalize my thoughts on the topic.
“Second generation” posts will likely be more in line with
what one would expect from a blog. These will contain a variety of content such
as quick takes on events, recaps of books or content that I read, stock market
commentary, recent musings, and new white papers as I write them. I would urge
you to never expect me to stick to small subset of topics because I don’t even
know what I’m going to be reading about in my spare time.
Why write?
Why not? Writing is thinking, writing is therapeutic, writing
is assistance, and writing is legacy. I want people to do well, and having a
place to put my writings online so that they’re more accessible to people is
generally a good thing. Somebody will eventually find it useful, and that’s all
that matters. I’m not expecting to make money from this, and I’m not expecting
that I’ll change the world. At best, I’m hoping some internet archeologist
comes across this blog in the future and maybe quotes me assuming our internet
information doesn’t get purged in time.
