The End of This Chapter

Hi Again

It's been a while since I've posted here. A couple of years ago, I thought I was going to continue this project in the midst of an otherwise incredibly busy lifestyle. That never happened, and here I am years later beating myself for not doing it. It's ok though...It happens. 

What now?

While I could divulge a lot of details of the past couple of years, I'll have that saved for another time, with another name. When that time comes, it'll be under my real name. 

I'll be returning back to blogging, however, it's become apparent to me in the course of my career that my return to writing has to be back in my own name, recounting my stories, building my thought leadership, and building a digital track record that will ultimately help me in the medium-future.

I look fondly on this era, it was a time where I just wanted to get my thoughts out there for my enjoyment. I wanted to finally have a reason to turn my notebook scribbles into something more meaningful, and that mission was accomplished.

Most of the people who read this blog may not know who I am behind the pen name, and that's fine. I won't give that away today either. I hope my writing has enough character that you can pick it up by stumbling upon it. Everything will still be up, and my other accounts will also stay online. They will just remain inactive going forward.

I'll be on Substack exclusively going forward primarily for professional reasons. The topics of my writings will be more about thoughts and stories from my life as an executive in my respective industries.

A Different Framework for Determining Human Rights

 Originally Written: 05/31/2019 Premise I had a conversation with a couple of my co-workers about a week before the time of this writing on the topic of child support. Although it revolved around whether or not child support should even exist in the first place, I found myself to be really uninformed on the topic. What proceeded after that discussion was a quick google search that led me to this quote from the Wikipedia page on child support: “The 1992 United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child is a binding convention signed by every member nation of the United Nations and formally ratified by all but the United States. COVID19: Tales from the Field

  Premise Throughout the pandemic, there have been a small collection of strange cases or phenomenon that I have been taking notes on, but do not really exist in the literature. Some with an academic or questioning personality may approach such a blog post with a lot of skepticism. To try and alleviate this, I’ll provide some details about myself that should help with the legitimacy of my hearsay. I’m a mid-career scientist at a large research organization on the Eastern half of the United States. I previously worked in neuroscience, but I now work on clinical trials related to HIV and COVID19.
